BY EUROSTAR to LONDON & TRAIN to CHIPPENHAM

Eurostar trains arrive in London at St. Pancras International.  Take the Underground, Circle Line westbound, or a taxi, to Paddington Station (about 30 minutes).  Take the train to Chippenham.  Time: Paddington to Chippenham: 1¼ hours.  BY AIR to HEATHROW AIRPORT & TRAIN to CHIPPENHAM

Take Heathrow Express from Heathrow Airport to Paddington Station (15 minutes) and the train from Paddington to Chippenham (1¼ hours).  You can buy your rail ticket at Heathrow. Buy a RETURN TICKET. Tell your hosts your time of arrival and they will meet you at Chippenham station.  Timetables: www.nationalrail.co.uk

 BY AIR to HEATHROW AIRPORT & BUS to CIRENCESTER

This is a cheaper than the train. We recommend flights to Heathrow Terminals 1 or 2, which are near the bus station.  Allow 30 minutes to collect your baggage.  If flying to Terminals 3 or 4, take the Heathrow Express to the bus station at Terminal 2.  We recommend you buy your bus ticket in advance. Call National Express on +44 8705 898989 or +44 8705 808080 (or website www.nationalexpress.com) and pay by credit card. Buy a RETURN TICKET (an OPEN RETURN if you are not sure of your return time: note that a return ticket is the same price as a single ticket) for the National Express service from Heathrow Airport to CIRENCESTER (service 412 or 413). Collect your ticket at Heathrow bus station.  The journey to CIRENCESTER takes 1 hr 40 minutes; your hosts will meet you at CIRENCESTER bus stop (Beeches Car Park): tell your hosts your arrival time.  BY TRAIN from LONDON to CHIPPENHAM

From Paddington Station, take the train to Chippenham.  Time: Paddington to Chippenham: 1¼ hours. Tell your hosts your time of arrival and they will meet you at Chippenham station.  Timetables: www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk

 BY BUS & TRAIN from BRISTOL AIRPORT to CHIPPENHAM

Take the airport bus (Bristol International Flyer) from Bristol Airport to Bristol Temple Meads Station (time: 30 minutes; frequency: every 30 minutes). Take the train from Temple Meads to Chippenham (time: 30 minutes). Tell your hosts your time of arrival and they will meet you at Chippenham station. Timetables: www.bristolairport.co.uk

 BY PRIVATE CAR

From London or Heathrow, take the M4 motorway to the west. Exit junction 17 towards Cirencester.  Time from Heathrow: about 1½ hours. Distance: 100 miles / 160 km.

 From Portsmouth, take the route M27 – M3 - A34 - M4.  Exit M4 junction 17 towards Cirencester.  Time: about 2 hours.  Distance: 100 miles / 160 km. 

 From Dover or Folkestone, take motorways M20, M26, M25, M4.  Exit M4 junction 17 towards Cirencester.  Time: about 3 hours.  Distance: 160 miles / 250 km.

 From Harwich, take the A12 Colchester bypass and motorways M25, M4.  Exit M4 junction 17 towards Cirencester.  Time: about 4 hours. Distance: 200 miles / 320 km.
